AmeriKick in the Community

Connor Quinn Patrick Fund

Amerikick has raised over $10,000 for one of it's top students in the organization. Connor was attacked by two 140 pound dogs and was in intensive care on January 1 2007. His courage and positive attitude helped him with his recovery. He has since tested for his green belt and is active in his training at Amerikick Turnersville. Connor attitude has inspired martial artists all over the world. Thank you to all the Amerikick Schools, families, and friends that have helped raise over $10, 000 for his family. If you would like to make a donation, please go to any Wachovia bank and make a deposit to the Connor Patrick Quinn Fund.

After hours of kicking and selling thousands of wrist bands, students from Amerikick Karate Studios should be very proud of their accomplishments. The students all wore red, white and blue bracelets and threw thousands of kicks in a special fundraiser to benefit Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, the number one pediatric care hospital in the United States. Each student rounded up pledges from family and friends, and threw as many kicks as they could during the intense session. Rachael Sigman age 12 from Ambler Pa, who raised two hundred dollars, said this. “I was really tired, but I’m lucky that I can kick; I was kicking for the kids in the hospital who can’t.” The students were motivated to help an organization that has touched so many in this area. Dennis Tosten, Master Instructor of Amerikick, feels that the staff at the hospital saved the lives of both of his children. “One week after my daughter was born she contracted whooping cough, I didn’t even know that illness still existed, but the staff at C.H.O.P. knew exactly how to treat her, she stopped breathing many times over her three week stay at C.H.O.P, but they saved her life. Today she is a straight A student, a competitive gymnast and a black belt. My son was operated on by Dr. Gaynor for a heart condition at only three weeks old and 5 ½ pounds. Without that surgery, he wouldn’t be here today. I can’t tell you how proud I am of all of our students, many of them have also been treated at the hospital; C.H.O.P has the best doctors in the country.”
